...Skincare Basics

You’ve asked and now I’m finally delivering: an overview of my skincare routine! Before we get to it, I should note that I am genetically blessed with great skin, and no product can account for this. That said, here goes.

  1. UltraCalming™ Cleanser Cream For Sensitive Skin: I am a fan of Dermalogica for the basics; get on the mailing list, and stock up when they have a sale.

  2. C E FERULIC® WITH 15% L-ASCORBIC ACID: I put this on every morning after washing my face. While the price is steep, the small vial lasts at least 4 months, if not longer. If you’re looking to buy Skinceuticals with the guidance of a pro and are located in Miami, you can head over to my friend’s, Dr. Dosal, practice and they will guide you.

  3. Dynamic Skin Recovery SPF50, SPF Moisturizer, Anti-Aging Moisturizer: My dermatologist once told me the two most important things for your face are retinol and SPF. I’ve been using this moisturizer with SPF50 for years because it’s the definition of easy with moisturizer built in and a lightweight application under my makeup.

  4. Lytera 2.0 Pigment Correcting Serum: I got a bit of melasma with my pregnancies so my dermatologist recommended this product (it was safe for use during pregnancy, btw) for the dark spots. It is really effective, so much so that I still use it, and always get compliments on my skin. Similar to the ferulic acid, it is pricey but lasts for months.

  5. Super Rich Repair. Dehydrated Skin Moisturizer: I love a thick moisturizer for nighttime, and I can’t go wrong with Dermalogica, so here we are.

The above products are my go-to, everyday staples, but here are some other things I love:
