Both Ana Mari Ortega the person and the brand were born and raised in Miami. This accessible collection of handbags and jewelry is a reflection of Ana Mari’s sensibility - stylish, a bit playful, and timeless.
Ana Mari attended George Washington University envisioning a life in international relations, until she discovered metalsmithing when her now-husband/then-boyfriend gifted her a jewelry making kit. She graduated and pivoted to a career in jewelry design after enrolling in Miami International University of Art & Design. She launched Ana Mari Ortega in 2008.
Inspired by her female ancestors, a love of chinoiserie, the Asturian countryside, and the belief that every day is made better with a touch of luxe, Ana Mari Ortega is a line designed to make you feel and look good. Each piece is imagined as a collectible that can be worn with your daily wardrobe basics or for a black tie gala.
As a new mother of three, including twins, Ana Mari understands that life is busy and a quality accessory can spruce up an outfit. She is deeply involved in volunteer work and serves as the board chair for City Year Miami, a non-profit with the goal of ending the dropout crisis in schools, as well as lending her time to Lotus House, The American Cancer Society, Women of Tomorrow, and Miami Children’s Hospital, among others. You'll often spot her handbags and jewelry in charity auctions benefiting those non-profits and more. You can also find her at a bakery, lounging in her tub or at a SoulCycle class.
